Family medicine physician who trained at UT Health Northeast joins UT Physicians of Gladewater

Family medicine physician Stephanie Tyo, MD, has joined UT Physicians of Gladewater. UTP is a physician practice associated with UT Health Northeast.
Dr. Tyo, an assistant professor of family medicine, is board certified in family medicine. She is interested in women’s health, promoting healthy eating, and in preventing childhood obesity.
She is fluent in Spanish and completed month-long training sessions at medical clinics and hospitals in Ghana, Guatemala, and Uganda. Dr. Tyo also has participated in medical mission trips to South Texas, Peru, Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Dr. Tyo completed her family medicine residency at UT Health Northeast. She received her medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine.
