Pediatric Grand Rounds is an educational forum on pediatric issues for physicians, nurses, and allied health care professionals and is a cooperative effort between East Texas Medical Center, Christus Trinity Mother Frances and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. This one hour program is generally held the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon. A complimentary light luncheon is served. The location rotates between the three hospitals.

Challenges in the Management of ADHD

Dr. Bar, Medical Director of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, will describe the characteristics of ADHD that influence approaches to effective management; review nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic strategies that are useful and sometimes necessary to improve outcomes; and identify potential sequelae of untreated ADHD.
