If your child is sick and you are concerned about whether or not your child needs to be seen, please call us first. We will help you decide whether to bring your child in to see the doctor. We offer same-day appointments for sick children. Call (903) 877-7343.
We also care for fragile children, and provide management of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, obesity, and behavioral, developmental, and emotional issues. Our well-child and newborn care includes:
- Assessment of growth and development
- Vision/hearing screenings
- Lead and anemia screenings

Dr. Joanna Clem is a board certified physician in pediatrics, caring for patients at our North Tyler Clinic. She has a special interest in pediatric asthma, allergies, obesity, and the complex care of special needs children. Together with parents and family, Dr. Clem provides a care plan to tackle these conditions. As an international medical volunteer, Dr. Clem has cared for children all over the world. She is also an instructor for Helping Babies Breath, a program that teaches resuscitation skills to nurses and midwives in third world countries. As a mother, Dr. Clem understands what it takes to be a parent, and she uses her knowledge and skills to advocate for the needs of her patients.(903) 877-7343

Dr. Monique Mills sees patients at our North Tyler Clinic. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in pediatrics. Her special interests include child advocacy as well as the evaluation and prevention of childhood obesity. She served on the board of the Texas Pediatric Society Foundation, a nonprofit foundation supporting initiatives that contribute to the health, safety, and welfare of children and adolescents.

Caring for the New Mother
Baby isn’t the only one who needs care and attention. Dr. Christine Powell enjoys caring for the whole family at our University Health Clinic, including the new mother.
