Her career in healthcare started as a health coach where she enjoyed helping people improve their quality of life, so becoming a counselor was a natural fit. Jennifer has a background in research, which she applies in her practice and in the psychology internship program where she trains future providers.

Dr. Philley studied medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, National Jewish Health in Denver, and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. While a resident at Johns Hopkins, she received its Award for Humanism and Professionalism. Dr. Philley specializes in caring for people with mycobacterial lung infections, a rare condition that is very hard to treat.
Dr. Philip Pippin is a family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages in the main campus Family Medicine Clinic. His special interests in medicine include treating hypertension and other chronic diseases. He completed the Family Medicine Residency Program here at UT Health where he was chief resident and resident of the year. Dr. Pippin enjoys teaching medical students and residents, but his real passion is helping patients understand their disease so they can feel empowered to make valuable decisions to improve their health.

Dr. Christine Powell, a family medicine physician at the University Health Clinic, enjoys building relationships with her patients and teaching them how to make personalized health care choices. Besides all aspects of family medicine, Dr. Powell provides treatments such as hormone therapy, microdermabrasion, and skin care for aging, acne, and rosacea.
